German Train

In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

While that 1980s movie quote might have been about justifying truancy, I feel it’s a sentiment that many can relate to in today’s fast-paced and frenetic world. As seen on one of my favorite sources of weird inspiration, INSH, there’s a whole community in Germany that’s engaged in helping us enjoy life more at high speeds. The Bewegtes Land Project (aka “Moving Land”) is a series of art experiences viewed from a speeding train, performed by 400 volunteers along a 19-mile stretch of track. It’s a great reminder to put down your device, look up, and enjoy the view.
